Mona Osmanova, Director of SMEU Astana LLP, presented a report to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the progress of the project titled “Introduction of an Intelligent Transport System” in Shymkent.
On 11 April 2025, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan paid an official working visit to Shymkent.
During the visit, the Head of State reviewed several key infrastructure projects in the region, including the “Introduction of an Intelligent Transport System” initiative.

The Intelligent Transport System (ITS) is a comprehensive software and hardware solution that integrates advanced traffic management software—an innovative product of domestic Kazakhstani development, authored by our team—with various types of detector stations installed at intersections throughout the city.
The system embodies years of global expertise in the field of intelligent traffic control for major urban areas.
The President emphasized the importance and timeliness of the initiatives being undertaken.
Our primary objective is to enhance the traffic situation in Shymkent and to significantly improve road safety by taking these measures.
